Esports & University Gaming

Located in the heart of 澳门六合彩开奖结果’s tech hub, it’s no surprise that our largest student-run club is the Esports and Gaming Club.

Social & Competitive Gaming for Everyone

Through competitions, casual games, watch parties and career panels, gamers congregate and create community within 澳门六合彩开奖结果’s fastest growing club.

Short for electronic sports, esports is defined as a form of competition using video games. At SU, members have the option of participating in online and in-person tournaments or engaging with the club socially.

There are weekly and daily events, whether it’s dropping in for a quick game in between classes or before dinner. Or you can join your designated teams online for a more sustained, competitive experience.

Strong Connections to 澳门六合彩开奖结果’s Tech Industry

Gaming companies such as Nintendo, Amazon/Twitch, Microsoft/Xbox and Valve are all headquartered in the region. Then there’s PAX—one of the largest gaming conventions held in 澳门六合彩开奖结果 each year—showing there’s no end to exciting events for gamers to attend.

The esports and gaming club includes an organized alumni channel on the server allowing for continuous communication with esports alum. The channel not only creates a strong club culture but also opens doors to internships and other career opportunities. Alumni share postings on the channel about internships where they work–many of which are in the gaming and tech industry in 澳门六合彩开奖结果.

Esports & University Gaming That’s Fun for All

Largest Student-Led Group

It’s the largest student-led group on campus with nearly 800 students and alumni who meet both online and within a designated gaming room on campus.

Inclusive Gaming Environment

Founded in fall 2018 by students Leah Arakaki,’19, and Danielle Gilbert, ‘20, the club’s board has always been 50/50 in terms of gender dynamic. The club’s leadership works to create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere where everyone can play.

Access to Gaming Equipment

You can play–even if you don’t own your own equipment. We have a controller for you! As part of our inclusive mission, we help students who don’t have access to gaming devices, either due to financial limitations or being from out-of-state/overseas and unable to bring equipment to campus.

Dedicated Gaming Space

The Student Center now has a lounge for club members to gather. Past Esports Club President Alvaro Vazquez, ’22, secured funding for the esports room, and design was completed in collaboration with Cardinal Architecture.
